Zoom Introduces New AI Capabilities and Agents
Zoom just announced that its AI Companion is getting an "agentic" upgrade at the end of this month, allowing it to identify and perform tasks on users' behalf.
Details:
The agentic skills will now allow the assistant to carry out multi-step actions for users, such as scheduling meetings after identifying a time that works for everyone, generating clips, and creating documents from meetings.
Zoom is also rolling out live notes in May, which will generate real-time summaries during Zoom meetings and phone calls, and a new voice recorder for the Zoom Workplace mobile app, enabling it to record, transcribe, and summarize in-person meetings.
These upgrades will be available at no additional cost to Zoom Workplace users.
Next month, Zoom also plans to launch its $12/month Custom AI Companion add-on, which includes access to Zoom’s custom avatar feature—a tool that creates an AI version of you to send messages to your team.
The company has been betting on AI capabilities to stay competitive. Notably, Zoom founder Eric Yuan sees AI as the future and envisions a time when AI-powered "digital twins" can attend meetings on your behalf.

Google Announces New Healthcare AI Updates for Search
Google announced health-care updates to Search, including a way for people with specific health conditions to compare their experiences with others.
Details:
Google introduced "What People Suggest," an AI-powered feature that gathers online commentary from patients with similar diagnoses, now available on mobile devices in the U.S.
The feature would allow a patient with arthritis, for example, to look up how others with the condition approach exercise.
The company is also expanding its knowledge panels to cover "thousands" more health topics.
Google also made other health-related announcements, including the release of new Medical Records APIs through its Health Connect platform and an update on the Pixel Watch 3's loss of pulse detection feature.
The new capabilities seem to be aimed at keeping users from leaving Search for Reddit and other health advice sources, but Google hasn’t specified how it will prevent the panel from surfacing misinformation.

How to create transition videos with Pika Labs
You can use the Pikaframes feature to create seamless transitions between images.
Go to the Pika Labs platform and sign in or create an account.
Click on "Create" or "New Project"
Upload your images: select the first and last images to define your video transition.
Enter your prompt
Choose the transition duration by adjusting the time between 1 to 10 seconds to control the motion effect.
Use the preview function to see how the AI generates smooth transitions between frames.
Adjust settings like resolution (720p or 1080p), aspect ratio, etc.
Click "Generate," let the AI process your video, then download it.
