WORLD LABS
World Labsā AI Can Generate Interactive 3D Scenes from a Single Photo š¤Æ
World Labs, founded by AI pioneer Fei-Fei Li, has launched its first project: an AI system that generates interactive, modifiable 3D scenes from a single image, resembling video game environments.
Details:
The system intelligently generates full 3D environments, filling in areas not visible in the original image, offering better control and consistency than other "world models."
World Labs' system can also add interactive effects and animations to scenes, such as changing object colors and dynamically lighting backdrops.
The project website offers demos of these AI-generated scenes, which you can explore using a keyboard and mouse to navigate and look around.
However, thereās room for growth: movement is limited to small areas, and occasional rendering errors occur, like objects blending unnaturally.
Although impressive, World Labs notes that this is only an "early preview." The startup plans to develop more tools aimed at customers ranging from video game developers to movie studios.
