COGNITION

The World's First AI Software Engineer Capable of Building Websites and Videos From Prompts 🤖

Cognition, a US-based startup, has launched what it claims to be the world's first AI software engineer named Devin.

Details:

  • Devin can write, debug, and deploy code to create fully functional websites and videos, all from a single prompt.

  • It is equipped with its own command line, code editor, and browser which helps it to operate independently

  • The company is currently increasing capacity and granting early access to Devin exclusively to select users.

Devin represents a significant leap forward. Instead of just suggesting code and auto-completing some tasks, Devin can independently take on and complete entire software projects from start to finish.

Speculation is mounting about OpenAI's GPT-4.5 Turbo. While details are scarce, recent leaks offer exciting glimpses of what this anticipated model could bring to the table.

Details:

  • Search engines like Bing and DuckDuckGo briefly indexed a product page for GPT-4.5 Turbo before it was taken down, leaving behind teaser text proclaiming it to be OpenAI's "fastest, most accurate, and most scalable model" yet.

  • According to the leaked information, GPT-4.5 Turbo is rumored to have a massive 256K token context window, double the capacity of its predecessor GPT-4 Turbo.

  • The model is also purported to be up-to-date with information until June 2024, potentially hinting at a release timeline

There are also some speculations that the new model could be unveiled this Thursday, coinciding with the one-year anniversary of GPT-4's release, as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is scheduled to appear on Lex Fridman's podcast, just as he did after the release of GPT-4.
