The Sam Altman Saga Brought to Life by AI ⭐
What if AI could rewrite history—or at least simulate it? That’s what Fable Simulation has done with the events surrounding Sam Altman’s firing from OpenAI, which took place last year.
Details:
Using their AI platform, SIM-1, Fable recreated the chaotic five days following Altman’s removal, offering a fascinating look at how leadership battles might have played out behind closed doors.
Fable ran 20 simulations of the leadership crisis using AI agents modeled after key players like Sam Altman, Satya Nadella, Mira Murati, and Ilya Sutskever. These agents strategized, manipulated, and negotiated in a high-pressure environment.
Altman returned as CEO in only 4 out of 20 scenarios. Other outcomes included Mira Murati staying in charge and even one simulation where Elon Musk took the reins at OpenAI.
These weren’t simple chatbots. The AI agents displayed human-like traits such as self-doubt, manipulation, and even physical needs like sleep, making the simulations eerily realistic.
This was just the beginning for Fable. The company’s next project will simulate a geopolitical crisis with a potential Chinese invasion of Taiwan, featuring AI versions of leaders like Xi Jinping, Joe Biden, and Donald Trump.
