Meet Figure 02, A New AI-Powered Humanoid Robot
Figure AI has introduced its latest and most advanced humanoid robot, Figure 02. This new model, likely powered by an OpenAI model, brings several significant upgrades and innovations.
Details:
Figure 02 is equipped with built-in microphones and speakers, along with custom AI models, to enable smooth and natural interactions with humans.
The robot features six RGB cameras managed by a Vision Language Model, allowing it to quickly understand and process visual information.
The "4th gen hands" come with 16 degrees of freedom and a force similar to human hands, making the robot more capable in handling various tasks.
It features a customized 2.25 kWh battery with over 50% more energy density than the previous generation and three times the computing and AI inference power, ensuring longer operational periods and the ability to perform more complex tasks efficiently.
Brett Adcock, CEO of Figure AI, claims that this new 02 variant is the "most advanced humanoid on the planet." It is designed for use in both home and work settings, as shown in a video demo of it working in a BMW plant.

New Open-Source AI Image Generator Beats Midjourney?

Black Forest Labs, the team behind the original Stable Diffusion, has launched Flux, an open-source text-to-image model with 12 billion parameters. Flux promises to deliver visuals that rival those of leading models like Midjourney.
Details:
Flux comes in three versions: Flux Dev (open-source with a non-commercial license), Flux Schnell (a faster, distilled version under an Apache 2 license), and Flux Pro (a closed-source API-based model).
In tests, Flux models outperformed Midjourney v6.0, Dall-E 3 (HD), and SD3 Ultra in visual quality, prompt accuracy, size variability, typography, and output diversity.
Black Forest Labs claims that Flux Pro and Flux Dev are currently the best image generators available, with Flux Schnell ranking between Midjourney v5 and Ideogram.
Accessibility: Both Flux Dev and Flux Schnell are available for download on Hugging Face, and can be tested for free on Replicate.com.
When comparing the results from Flux with other top AI image generators, it often comes out on top, especially its “Pro” version, which delivers great-quality results and can be a strong competitor to Midjourney and other paid options.

Click on 'Drag and drop an image to expand or browse files.'
