Nvidia’s Biggest AI Announcements from GTC 2025

Jensen Huang headlined the Nvidia GTC 2025 keynote, giving updates on Blackwell, Vera Rubin, and a new Disney and Google Deepmind partnership.
Here’s everything revealed so far:
Nvidia’s next GPU, called Blackwell Ultra, will be available in the second half of this year, featuring larger memory than its current generation, enabling it to support larger AI models.
The new Vera Rubin computing system is expected to outperform the company's Blackwell architecture and will be released in the second half of 2026, followed by the launch of Vera Rubin Ultra in 2027 and the Feynman architecture in 2028.
This new lineup of “AI personal supercomputers,” powered by the company’s Grace Blackwell chip platform, will allow users to prototype, fine-tune, and run AI models of various sizes at the edge.
Nvidia's new silicon photonics networking chips will enable AI factories to connect millions of GPUs across various sites, while drastically reducing energy consumption.
The Quantum-X Photonics chips are expected to be available later this year, followed by the launch of Spectrum-X chips in 2026.
The software, which Nvidia released for free, is intended to speed up the process of reasoning, in which AI models think through an answer to a question in multiple steps, rather than giving a one-shot answer.
GR00T N1 is a foundational model for humanoid robots, equipped with a dual system for both fast and slow thinking - much like reasoning models.
The framework for GR00T N1 includes Newton, an open-source physics engine developed along with Google DeepMind and Disney Research, and built for creating robots.
Google Brings 'Canvas' and 'Audio Overview' to Gemini

Google has introduced two new features for its Gemini AI assistant: Canvas and Audio Overview.
Details:
Canvas introduces a dedicated workspace within Gemini where users can create and refine both documents and code in real-time.
For coding projects, Canvas provides a live preview next to the code, allowing users to make changes and see updates in real time.
Audio Overview converts documents, slides, and even deep research reports into a “podcast-style discussion between two AI hosts,” a feature previously available in Google’s NotebookLM.
It is currently available only in English, with support for more languages coming soon.
These features are rolling out globally today for Gemini and Gemini Advanced subscribers.
