In 2023, there were 25 regulations related to AI, a significant increase from just one in 2016. The total number of AI-related regulations grew by 56.3% last year alone.

ElevenLabs Previews New AI music Generator 'ElevenLabs Music' 🎵

Voice AI company ElevenLabs is giving an early look at a new AI model that generates songs from text prompts.
Details:
ElevenLabs specializes in using machine learning for voice cloning and synthesis in different languages.
To promote this upcoming feature, the startup is emulating Sam Altman's approach with OpenAI's Sora AI by soliciting prompts and lyrics ideas on social media and turning them into songs.
ElevenLabs' Voice Library marketplace could potentially allow users to sell AI-generated songs. It currently allows users to sell their AI-cloned voice for money while maintaining control over its availability and how they’re compensated.
Examples demonstrate that the AI can generate approximately a 3-minute song.
ElevenLabs is soon joining the competition, with many AI music startups already popping up, including Suno AI, Udio, Harmonai, Lyrical Labs, Loudly, and more. From the samples shared so far, it seems to be among the best; you can check them out yourself here.

Machine Learning Helps to Discover Sperm Whale 'Alphabet'
Researchers at MIT CSAIL and Project CETI have unlocked new insights into how sperm whales communicate, thanks to machine learning.

The study reveals that sperm whales' codas, the short bursts of clicks that they use to communicate, vary significantly based on context, showing a more intricate communication system than previously thought.
The teams deployed machine learning solutions to analyze a dataset of 8,719 sperm whale codas.
The researchers identified something of a “sperm whale phonetic alphabet,” where various elements that researchers call “rhythm,” “tempo,” “rubato,” and “ornamentation” interplay to form a vast array of distinguishable codas.
This suggests a rare non-human example of 'duality of patterning' like human language
While much is still unknown, the findings hint at an intriguing complexity in whale communication. Moving forward, researchers hope to explore the communication of other whales like humpbacks.

You can generate AI songs with music and lyrics in any genre for free.
Follow these steps:
Go to Suno.com and sign in

Select ‘Custom Mode’ if you want to input your own lyrics
