Physical Intelligence, a startup focused on creating AI brains for robots, has just raised $400 million. The investment raises the company’s post-money valuation to $2.4 billion.

The funding round was led by Jeff Bezos, along with notable firms like Thrive Capital, Lux Capital, and OpenAI.
The startup wants to bring "general-purpose AI into the physical world," aiming to achieve this by developing large-scale artificial intelligence models and algorithms to power robots.
They claim they’re not just building a brain for one specific robot; it’s a 'universal' brain capable of controlling any robot. The goal is to eliminate the need for specific programming for each function that a robot needs to perform.
This major funding boost will surely help the startup get closer to its vision: a future where users can "simply ask robots to perform any task they want, just as they do with large language models (LLMs) and chatbot assistants."

Nvidia has overtaken Apple to become the world's largest company, driven by surging demand for AI technologies.
Details:
The chipmaker's market value soared to $3.43 trillion, surpassing Apple's $3.38 trillion, marking a remarkable 850% growth since late 2022.
Nvidia’s flagship products are considered the gold standard for machine learning and large-scale data processing, powering AI models for tech leaders and research institutions, including OpenAI and Google.
While Apple has recently launched its own AI initiatives, Nvidia continues to be a foundational player in the world’s leading large language models, and that doesn’t seem likely to change anytime soon.
This isn’t the first time Nvidia has surpassed Apple; it did so in June as well, although it held the top spot for just one day. The challenge now is maintaining this lead.
