Perplexity AI has introduced a new feature called Perplexity Pages, which allows users to turn their searches into shareable, visually appealing web pages.

Details:

• This feature aims to help users create reports, articles, or guides with formatted images and sections.

• Users can create a page by entering a prompt, such as "Information about Niagara Falls." They can also select an audience type (beginner, advanced, or anyone) to shape the tone of the generated text.

• The AI tool can create detailed articles with different sections, which users can rewrite, reformat, or remove. They can also find and insert relevant media items like images and videos.

• These pages are publishable, shareable, and searchable through Google. They can only be created on the web, but they are visible on both the web and the mobile apps.

The feature is initially being rolled out to a limited number of users, with plans to eventually make it available to everyone.

Neuroscientists at the University of South Florida have pioneered an AI and virtual reality technique for creating 3D visualizations of early brain development in mice, an approach that could help demystify disorders like Alzheimer's and autism.

Details:

• The approach uses AI and VR to render 3D maps of neuron pathways in the brains of newborn mice.

• It ocuses on formation of sound processing region with neuron types similar to humans and aims to detect developmental abnormalities that cause conditions like autism

• Visualizations provide unprecedented chronological view of early brain wiring

While still focused on mice, the techniques could eventually allow similar modeling of the human brain. The hope is it can lead to earlier detection and novel treatment strategies.
