OpenAI Launches Full "o1" Reasoning Model and $200 ChatGPT Pro Tier
OpenAI has made two major announcements: The release of the full version of its "o1" reasoning model and the launch of a $200-per-month ChatGPT Pro subscription tier.
Details:
The new model is already available for ChatGPT Plus and Team users, while Enterprise and Edu users will gain access to it starting next week.
Unlike O1-preview, o1 can now process both images and text. It is reportedly a faster, more powerful, and more accurate model, better at coding and math. Itās also trained to give more concise answers than its preview version.
According to OpenAI, o1 makes 34% fewer āmajorā mistakes than o1-preview, while "thinking" 50% faster.
The new $200 monthly subscription tier includes unlimited access to OpenAI o1, GPT-4, and Advanced Voice mode. It also includes an improved version of o1, "o1 Pro Mode," exclusive to Pro users, that uses more compute to "think harder and provide even better answers to the hardest problems."
The company will continue to offer their Plus tier for $20, and whether the new ChatGPT Pro subscription will be worth the $200-a-month fee isn't fully clear yet. However, for such a significant increase, OpenAI must be very confident in its value.

MICROSOFT
Microsoft Introduces Copilot Vision, an AI Tool That Assists You While Browsing the Internet
Microsoft has begun testing a new feature called Copilot Vision, designed to enhance your web browsing experience.
Details:
Copilot Vision can "see" the webpage you're on and assist with questions or tasks related to it.
Users can enable this feature to help read webpages, interpret images, and even provide shopping recommendations or tips, such as deciphering handwritten recipes.
Microsoft emphasizes that Copilot Vision will not store, capture, or use any publisher data for training purposes. Furthermore, it is an entirely optional experience; users would need to enable the feature first to use it.
It is currently available to a select group of Copilot Pro subscribers in the US through the Copilot Labs program, with plans to expand access gradually.
As testing continues, the company is prioritizing safety and privacy, especially after receiving some backlash regarding security concerns when they announced the Recall feature earlier this year.

How to use The Death Clock app, an AI tool that claims to calculate the day you'll die
The app uses AI trained on a large dataset of over 1,200 studies involving 53 million people to predict a personās "death day" based on details about their lifestyle.
Download the Death Clock app, available in the Google Play and Apple App Stores, and open it.
The app will ask a series of questions. Answer every question as honestly as possible, as that's the only way to get an accurate result.
Once that's done, the AI will analyze the information and deliver a card with an image of the Grim Reaper, showing the age you will live until and providing a second-by-second countdown. It will even list possible causes of death and offer advice on how to possibly extend your life.
The app doesn't claim infallibility, and its main goal isn't to shock the user; it is more focused on encouraging change and healthier habits.
