OpenAI Introduces ChatGPT Gov for U.S. Government Agencies 🏛️
OpenAI has announced the launch of ChatGPT Gov, a specialized version of its chatbot designed specifically for US government agencies.
Details
The tool will allow U.S. government agencies to securely access OpenAI’s frontier models, like GPT-4o, helping them meet strict security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
Government agencies can now deploy ChatGPT Gov through Microsoft's Azure Cloud or Azure Government Cloud platforms using the Azure OpenAI Service.
It offers features similar to ChatGPT Enterprise, like saving and sharing conversations, building custom GPTs, and IT an administrative console for IT teams.
Since 2024, over 90,000 users across 3,500 U.S. government offices have been using ChatGPT for tasks like basic coding and problem-solving.
Since ChatGPT already has a significant presence in government, this new version will help agencies leverage these advanced AI systems more securely. OpenAI is also working with the UK government to roll out similar AI solutions soon.

YuE, a new open-source AI music tool, is making waves by offering a free and customizable way to turn lyrics into full songs. Created by developer Ruibin Yuan, YuE stands out as a free alternative to commercial AI music services like Suno and Udio.

YuE can transform lyrics into songs up to five minutes long, supporting multiple languages and musical styles.

How to run DeepSeek-R1 locally for free
Here's how to set up the distilled version of DeepSeek-R1 on your device, allowing you to run the chatbot offline and enjoy more privacy.
Download and install Ollama, following the installation instructions provided on the site.
Once that’s done, open your terminal and type one of the following commands (in yellow) to download the DeepSeek-R1 model:
The number at the end of each refers to the weight of the model. The heavier the model, the more accurate and better the performance, but the more powerful your computer needs to be. Pick the best option accordingly.
The command tells Ollama to download the model. Depending on your internet speed, this process might take some time.
Go to chatboxai.app, download it, and install it.
Open Chatbox, select Ollama from the provider dropdown, and choose the DeepSeek model that was just downloaded.
