OpenAI's New AI Model Might Help Extend Human Life 🤯

OpenAI has partnered with longevity startup Retro Biosciences to train an AI model named GPT-4b, designed to improve stem cell production efficiency.

Details:

• OpenAI and Retro Biosciences have been working together for about a year, combining AI with cutting-edge longevity science.

• GPT-4b micro focuses on re-engineering Yamanaka factors—proteins that can turn human skin cells into young-seeming stem cells. It’s similar to hitting the reset button on a cell, returning it to its original state.

• Retro aims to use these advancements to create replacement cells and potentially grow human organs.

• The project’s technical lead included OpenAI’s John Hallman and Retro’s Rico Meini.

Altman, already a key investor in Retro with a personal funding of $180 million, facilitated the partnership with the longevity startup, which aims to extend the human lifespan by 10 years.

Microsoft Begins Testing AI-Powered Search for Windows 11

Microsoft is rolling out a new AI-powered search feature for Windows 11 Insider testers.

Details:

• Designed to simplify file searches on your PC, this feature lets users search for files using casual, natural language. Exclusively available on Copilot Plus PCs, it leverages advanced semantic indexing to bring smarter search capabilities to local files—no internet connection required.

• The AI search works across Windows settings, File Explorer, and taskbar search boxes, allowing users to easily find files like images, PDFs, or spreadsheets.

• According to Microsoft, search works only for files in locations you’ve chosen to index. The feature will eventually be expanded to include cloud data, such as that stored in OneDrive.

• The feature will work on machines set to Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish.

In addition to the new search feature, the update also introduces AI writing tools like "Refine," which can correct grammar and improve text contextually.

How to place any product into your image using AI

1. Go to the Krea website and sign up to receive free credits.

2. Click on the "Edit Images" option.

3. Upload your base image.

4. Click on “Change Region” and select the area on your canvas where you want your product to appear.

5. Once selected, describe your product in the prompt box, then use the image prompt feature to upload your actual product photo.

6. Click on Generate, and that's it!

Optional: You can use the train subject feature for better control, although this one requires a subscription.
