ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode Is Rolling Out Now🗣

OpenAI has started rolling out its highly anticipated “Advanced Voice” feature for ChatGPT users. This update will be available to Plus and Team users over the next week.

Details:

  • This new Advanced Voice Mode lets you speak more naturally with the AI, allowing you to interrupt responses mid-sentence, and it can sense and interpret your emotions from your tone of voice and adjust its responses accordingly.

  • It includes five new voices—Arbor, Maple, Sol, Spruce, and Vale—bringing the total to nine. The Sky voice, which led to a legal threat from Scarlett Johansson, has been removed.

  • There are improvements since the limited alpha test of the AVM. It is now better at understanding accents, and conversations are reportedly smoother and faster.

  • OpenAI is also introducing the option to save “custom instructions” for the voice assistant and a “memory” of the behaviors users want it to show, similar to features launched earlier this year for the text version of ChatGPT.

AVM is not yet available in several regions, including the EU, the U.K., Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein, and it still lacks some features that were showcased in the demo, such as screen sharing.

AI Outsmarts Google's reCAPTCHA with 100% Accuracy

Researchers from ETH Zurich have shown that Google's reCAPTCHAv2 can be fully bypassed. Using advanced image recognition algorithms, their AI system succeeds in solving all reCAPTCHAv2 challenges with perfect precision.

Details:

  • The AI can handle all reCAPTCHA v2 tasks, including classifying images in a 3x3 grid, segmenting a single image, and managing dynamic classification with changing images.

  • The team used YOLO models for both image segmentation and classification, training their models on a vast collection of labeled images, achieving a 100% success rate.

  • By simulating human-like actions and mouse movements, the AI system remains unseen by Google's defenses.

  • ETH Zurich has made their code public for further study and improvement, encouraging others to expand on their work.

This study highlights a major vulnerability in Google's reCAPTCHAv2, calling for updates to security measures. As AI continues to advance, it challenges existing systems, pushing for more robust solutions.
