Netflix Tests OpenAI-Powered Search Feature

Bloomberg reports that Netflix is beginning to test a search feature powered by OpenAI.
Details:
The new AI search engine will let users “look for shows using far more specific terms, including the subscriber’s mood,” letting customers pose inquiries that go well beyond genres or actors’ names.
The feature is already available for some users to try in Australia and New Zealand on iOS and will expand to the US in the coming weeks and months, with no current plans for availability outside of iOS.
It's opt-in, so subscribers must choose to test it out.
Netflix is constantly looking for ways to consolidate its market position amidst increasing competition, and it is now betting on AI to enhance user experience and revolutionize how subscribers interact with the platform, making content search more intuitive and intelligent.
