MIDJOURNEY

Midjourney Unveils New Website and Teases Major Update

Source: Midjourney

Midjourney has launched a new website in beta mode. While Midjourney has up until now operated primarily through Discord, the new website offers key improvements:

  • Enhanced search capabilities to easily locate images and prompts within Midjourney's vast user-generated library

  • Smoother image browsing

  • Faster viewing of images alongside their prompts

  • Additional organizational features like collections to be added in future iterations

However, the most crucial development is direct in-browser image generation, currently labeled as "coming soon" on the site. This will eliminate the need to use Midjourney through Discord, reducing friction for new users. The increased accessibility is critical as Midjourney seeks to expand its user base.

The company is also charging ahead with v6 later this year, promising even higher quality output and better text-to-image capabilities to rival DALL-E.

AI REGULATION

Technology Experts Call for AI Safety Checks

In a new policy proposal, 23 AI experts, including Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio, two of the three 'godfathers of AI,' call for urgent action to ensure these powerful AI technologies are developed responsibly.

The authors outline several recommendations, including:

  • Devoting a third of all AI R&D funding specifically to safety research

  • Mandatory independent audits of AI labs

  • A licensing system for building cutting-edge AI models

  • Making companies liable for harm caused by their AI systems

The proposals come ahead of a major AI safety summit next week at Bletchley Park in the UK. The high-profile event will see academics, politicians and tech leaders gather to address existential risks posed by AI.

Striking the right balance between innovation and regulation remains a major challenge.

Use ChatGPT to Analyze your Social Media Data

Using ChatGPT Advanced Data Analysis you can analyze your social media data and get key information to enhance your account's growth.

Note: To use Advanced Data Analysis, previously known as Code Interpreter, you need access to ChatGPT Plus.

For example, these are the steps to determine the optimal days and times for tweeting to maximize your reach, engagement, and interaction, including impressions, replies, likes, and retweets:

  1. Toggle on “Advanced Data Analysis” on ChatGPT

  1.  Go to Twitter Analytics, access your “Post Analytics”, and export your data by tweet

  1. Upload the CSV file you got to ChatGPT and add the prompt to get the information you want

In our case, we want to get the best days and times to tweet, so we can add this prompt:

“I'm uploading a CSV file containing my Twitter data from the last 28 days. Analyze the data and provide insights on the best days and times for maximizing impressions, likes, replies, and retweets.”

ChatGPT will give you the best date and hour to post

You can also ask ChatGPT to create graphs so you can look at the information in more detail, just enter another prompt and ask ChatGPT to generate the chart that you want.
