Revolutionary AI Tool Diagnoses Brain Tumors During Surgery
A game-changing new AI tool can diagnose brain tumors in under 40 minutes - directly in the operating room during surgery. This allows neurosurgeons to tailor the surgical approach based on the specific molecular properties of each patient's tumor.
Details:
The AI system scans the tumor's DNA to identify its type and subtype. The process takes less than 90 minutes, compared to weeks for standard genetic sequencing.
This real-time genetic analysis helps surgeons decide whether to remove additional healthy tissue or spare it.
By diagnosing tumors in real-time, it promises to improve surgical outcomes through molecularly-guided approaches.
