Lionsgate Inks Deal with AI Firm Runway 📽
Lionsgate, the studio behind blockbuster hits like "John Wick" and "The Hunger Games," has entered a new partnership with Runway to build a custom AI video model.
Details:
Lionsgate's deal with Runway is the first of its kind, setting a precedent for future collaborations between film studios and AI companies.
The partnership involves training an AI model on Lionsgate’s massive portfolio of over 20,000 films and TV shows to augment, enhance, and supplement video production and editing capabilities.
Initially, Lionsgate plans to use the technology for storyboarding, creating backgrounds, and special effects, especially in action scenes that are typically costly, elaborate, time-consuming, and dangerous to execute.

YouTube Announces New AI Tools for its Creators
Announced at the Made on YouTube event in New York City, these new features aim to simplify the creative process, offering tools that can generate ideas, titles, and even entire videos.
Details:
A new feature in the YouTube Studio app, the Inspiration tab, will suggest video concepts, titles, thumbnails, and even provide outlines and scripts. This tool is designed to assist creators in brainstorming and developing content more efficiently.
YouTube is also integrating DeepMind's Veo model into YouTube Shorts, allowing creators to use AI-generated backgrounds and create short clips with a feature called Dream Screen.
Additional AI features include auto-dubbing for multilingual content and tools for creators to engage with their audience through the Communities section.
