Over 60 years after her death, Marilyn Monroe is being brought back to life in digital form, powered by artificial intelligence. "Digital Marilyn" will make her debut on Friday at the South by Southwest tech conference in Austin, Texas.

Details:

• Digital Marilyn was created by Soul Machines, an AI company specializing in realistic digital humans, in partnership with Authentic Brands Group which owns the rights to Monroe's likeness.

• The digital version can express emotions such as smiling in response to compliments and discuss her movies, roles, and life experiences.

• The event will be hosted by The Information, and attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the character.

The demonstration aims to spark conversations around utilizing such AI-powered digital recreations as brand ambassadors, ushering in new possibilities in marketing and fan experiences.
