Grok 3 Levels Up with Image Editing & "DeeperSearch"

xAI is introducing two new features for Grok: an enhanced research tool and the capability to edit images just by talking to the AI chatbot.

Details:

• The new "DeeperSearch" is an enhanced version of the "DeepSearch" feature, designed to dig deeper into complex queries and offer better reasoning.

• Grok is also getting new image editing capabilities, allowing users to modify uploaded images by selecting the "Edit Image" button and describing the changes they want in plain text.

• The company also announced that its Aurora image model is now accessible via the xAI API. 

These new features could help Grok stand out as it faces tough competition. While it's too early to judge how well 'DeeperSearch' performs compared to similar features, the image editing doesn't seem quite as good as Gemini's, which launched a few weeks ago.
