Elon Musk Sues OpenAI Over ‘Betrayal’ of Mission 🤯

Elon Musk has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman, among others, claiming breach of contract. Musk alleges OpenAI has abandoned its original mission to develop AI to benefit humanity in favor of pursuing profits.

Musk claims Altman and OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman approached him to start an open-source, non-profit AI lab focused on developing artificial general intelligence (AGI) for the “benefit of humanity.”
The lawsuit claims that OpenAI's recent focus on monetization and its decision to keep the design of GPT-4, its most advanced AI model, 'a complete secret,' violates the initial agreement.
Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015 but left its board in 2018, four years after he expressed concerns that AI could be more dangerous than nuclear weapons.

Microsoft Launches Copilot for Finance Teams

Microsoft has launched Copilot for Finance, a solution designed to enhance productivity and efficiency for finance teams.
Details:
It integrates with financial systems like Dynamics 365 and SAP, offering role-specific workflow automation, guided actions, and recommendations across Microsoft 365 apps such as Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
Copilot for Finance makes financial processes more streamlined and automated, including functionalities such as streamlining audits, simplifying collections, and accelerating financial reporting.
It is available as a public preview for now, with a wider release coming soon.

AI Reveals Prostate Cancer Is Not Just One Disease

An international team of researchers recently utilized AI to uncover a new form of aggressive prostate cancer that could revolutionize how the disease is diagnosed and treated in the future.

The researchers used AI to study changes in the DNA of prostate cancer samples from 159 patients and identified two distinct subtypes of prostate cancer
This is significant because, until now, it was believed that prostate cancer was a single type of disease.
Ultimately, this discovery could pave the way for tailored treatments for each individual patient based on a genetic test, which could also be facilitated using AI.
