OpenAI Adds Internal Data Referencing

OpenAI has introduced a new feature for ChatGPT Team users: the ability to reference internal knowledge sources.

Details:

  • Organizations will be able to connect internal knowledge databases directly to the platform, bringing company-specific information.

  • This means employees will be able to ask ChatGPT to answer questions, provide summaries, and generate content about files housed internally by your organization, facilitating more contextually relevant and accurate responses.

  • ChatGPT Team comes with security and privacy controls that administrators can manage and doesn't train its models on any Team or Enterprise account data. So users who do not have access to specific drives or documents cannot force ChatGPT to read those.

  • Currently, ChatGPT Team administrators can connect Google Drive to ChatGPT. OpenAI is actively working on expanding support to include “all the key internal knowledge sources your team relies on today.”

This new feature makes ChatGPT a more valuable tool for enterprises, with OpenAI Product Leader Nate Gonzalez highlighting it as 'the most requested feature from ChatGPT business customers' as he announced its rollout in a LinkedIn post on Thursday.

Apple's AI Crisis: Explained 🤔

Popular tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee discusses the challenges and delays Apple faces with rolling out its AI technology, "Apple Intelligence."

The video examines rapid AI advancements by companies like Google and Microsoft, contrasting them with Apple's slower entry and the underwhelming partial release of its promised AI features.

It also explores possible reasons for these delays, suggesting that Apple’s usual "second-mover" strategy might not work as well in the fast-paced AI landscape.
