Figure Shows Off Conversational Robot Infused With OpenAI Tech 💥

Source: Figure AI

OpenAI and the robotics company Figure have just unveiled a new robot that showcases remarkable capabilities in understanding and interacting with its environment, responding to natural language commands, engaging in complex conversations, and performing tasks autonomously in real-time.

Details:

  • The impressive demo video showcases "Figure 01" engaging in conversations, following commands, and autonomously performing helpful tasks such as picking up trash and placing dishes into a drying rack.

  • This is made possible by connecting the robot to a multimodal model developed by OpenAI, which comprehends both images and text.

  • All actions in the video are learned; the robot uses the multimodal model to generate verbal responses and determine which learned behavior it should perform.

It's only been a few weeks since Figure announced its partnership with OpenAI, and it's impressive to see such significant progress made in a short amount of time.

You can watch the complete demo video of Figure 01 here.

New AI Agent That Can Play Complex Games

Source: Google DeepMind

Google's Deepmind has introduced a new AI agent called SIMA (Scalable Instructable Multiworld Agent) that can navigate 3D video game environments using only natural language instructions.

Details:

  • SIMA was trained in collaboration with eight game studios across nine different video games, including popular titles like No Man's Sky, Valheim, and Teardown.

  • The training process involved recordings of players giving verbal instructions or narrating their actions, which were then mapped to the corresponding in-game behaviors.

  • In testing, SIMA has demonstrated mastery of 600 basic skills such as navigation, object interaction, and menu control.

The implications of SIMA's language understanding capabilities extend beyond gaming. This technology could enable the development of versatile AI agents that can comprehend and execute complex instructions across numerous domains via natural language interaction.

How to access Anthropic’s prompt library

Anthropic, the creators of Claude, have compiled a collection of prompts for users to initiate conversations with the chatbot. and get better results.

  1. Go to Claude’s prompt library

The library is categorized into different types, catering to various purposes such as play, work, and user-submitted ideas.

  1. Browse and select a prompt

For example, if we want the AI to come up with a recipe we can choose

Which provides the following prompt:

“Your task is to generate personalized recipe ideas based on the user's input of available ingredients and dietary preferences. Use this information to suggest a variety of creative and delicious recipes that can be made using the given ingredients while accommodating the user's dietary needs, if any are mentioned. For each recipe, provide a brief description, a list of required ingredients, and a simple set of instructions. Ensure that the recipes are easy to follow, nutritious, and can be prepared with minimal additional ingredients or equipment.”

  1. Copy and paste the prompt in Claude

You can add additional specifications as well, like: “I'm allergic to peanuts, soy, and dairy. You can use any other ingredients you can think of, except for those.”

While using this prompt Claude will provide you with 3 different recipes.

You can also utilize these prompts with other models like ChatGPT and Gemini.
