Chinese tech leader Baidu unveiled the latest version of its generative artificial intelligence model, Ernie 4.0, this week at an event in Beijing.

Details:

  • Ernie has attracted 45 million users since becoming accessible to the public.

While the launch of Ernie 4.0 proves Baidu is keeping pace in the global AI race, it remains to be seen whether this latest version represents a major leap over its predecessors as analysts were reportedly unimpressed due to the lack of major highlights compared to the previous version.
