ANTHROPIC
Anthropic's Claude Can Now Control Computers Like People Do š»
Anthropic has announced new capabilities, including upgraded Claude 3.5 Sonnet and the new Claude 3.5 Haiku models. The standout feature: Claude can now operate a computer like a human, navigating screens, clicking, and typing text.
Details:
The new feature, called āComputer Use,ā allows Claude to operate a computer by viewing screens, moving cursors, clicking, and typing, making it capable of tasks such as filling out forms and browsing websites.
Early adopters like Asana, DoorDash, Canva, Replit, and The Browser Company are already exploring its potential. For example, Replit is using the feature to create a tool for evaluating apps during development.
Claude 3.5 Sonnet is available now via Anthropicās API, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Cloudās Vertex AI. It shows substantial improvements in key areas, most notably coding.
Anthropic also introduced Claude 3.5 Haiku, a faster, more affordable model designed for real-time applications. This model will be made available later this month.
The new Computer Use feature is certainly exciting, and while the AI still struggles with tasks that are simple for humans, Anthropic believes it could revolutionize automation and AI-driven software development.

Using ChatGPT shortcuts
ChatGPT offers system shortcuts like /picture and /search, designed to make your interactions smoother and more fun.
To use this feature, type a ā/ā during your conversation with ChatGPT, and a pop-up will appear with shortcut options.
The /picture shortcut connects with DALL-E, OpenAIās advanced image-generation model. Even if you donāt have a clear prompt or specific idea in mind, simply selecting /picture will generate unique and visually interesting images for you.
The /search option activates a special Search mode where anything you type is treated as a search query. Even if you donāt enter anything, ChatGPT can remember remember what you were last discussing and provide relevant information.
This feature can help you to spice up your conversations with images or quickly find information, all without leaving the chat.
